OK GUYS, WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN DIRTY AS HELL SCANS?

levels don't work with this image, or rather, they work to a certain extent, not enough to really clean the image. :| My main interest is just in Turkey, who has horrible shadows on him.

Well, if levels and curves don't work, and if selecting and leveling individual areas don't work, then your best bet might just be taking the paint brush and cleaning it by hand. :/

AND ALL THE SCANS FROM THAT DOUJIN ARE LIKE THIS AND TURKEY HAS SOOOOO MANY AWESOME EXPRESSIONS IN IT

PS: FIREFOX IS NOT LETTING ME DOWNLOAD CRAP AND I CAN'T OPEN ANY OTHER BROWSER TO TRY DOWNLOADING AIM FROM THERE :|

it's not letting me download me things period. I try to download something and I get something that says "This Download has been blocked by your Security Zone Policy" :|

bam? :c Personally I still don't like it because of the pixelation on it when you zoom in on it closer b-but I'm picky;;

...so then you can download things again? &uh, think of it as a way to test your knowledge of things? Though you know, firefox has never given me any problems. It's a wonderful browser to mee~

from my experience, i usually try to level it a bit first and then attack the darker spots with using a quickmask mode and selecting bits and pieces and then leveling.

based on this tutorial from SiH:

erghhh this is what I got: (there are 2 different versions because on one I feel like I overlevelled or something, haha.)

I don't really know how I did it, I just followed the guide (XD, but I have had some experience in helping out with some scanlation groups, so cleaning scans isn't really anything new to me.)
